Training: Effective Management

The two concepts of management and leadership are often mixed up. Management mainly means controlling processes and managing employees; whereas leadership means letting go. Having a clear vision and by being sensitive to the true capital of a company (the employees) a manager may develop into a genuine leader.

Today's manager is thus faced with a number of pitfalls: by being too preoccupied with controlling processes and supervising/directing, and not spending enough time truly managing; in turn, this will have a negative impact on the attitude and motivation of employees.
